Winifred Harpur Crewe (1879–1953) was an inspiring, connected, spirited and passionate woman. Fiercely independent and an intrepid adventurer, as a young woman Winifred lived an exciting life travelling around the world. But how did she react to the tragic death of her new husband, the man who she wrote had made her ‘gloriously happy’? The story will be revealed by Celia Sanger at the April meeting of the Ticknall Preservation and Historical Society.
