Have you ever wondered what your neighbours do all day in their sheds? Are you intrigued by the banging and whirring noises and lights on late into the night?
Well, on Saturday 4th December at the Village Hall, all will be revealed at the first exhibition of Repton Artisans. Hidden away in our little village are some of the most creative and talented artificers for miles around. For instance, locally we have oil painters, watercolour painters and a pen and ink artist; woodcarvers, wood turners and a stick maker; we also have a guitar maker, two silversmiths and a rocking horse maker.
The list goes on with an embroiderer and other creators in fabrics and at least two ceramicists (potters) living just down the road from you. And they are all a secret! Well, not any more for they are coming out of their sheds on Saturday 4th December, to showcase their talents and, where possible, let you have a go.
Some of their creations will be on sale for that unique Christmas gift for someone special.
