How the Johnsons Inherited the Harpur Crewe Estates

Have you ever wondered how the Johnson family of Vermont, USA came to inherit the Harpur Crewe Estate? You can hear the full details of this fascinating story in a forthcoming presentation in Ticknall.

This event will not now take place in 2020 as Mr & Mrs Johnson have postponed their visit to the UK until next year. More later.

On Wednesday 6th May 2020 at 7.30 pm local historian Celia Sanger will be giving a talk at Ticknall Village Hall on the route from the Harpur Crewes to the Johnsons.

She will be looking back at the Harpur Crewe family bloodline and evidencing how in October 2000 it was confirmed by the Royal Courts of Justice in London that Andrew F. Johnson of Vermont, USA was the Rightful Heir at Law to the Harpur Crewe Estate.

A chance to meet the family, weather and flights permitting.

This talk will be of interest to students of all ages.

Admission is free and refreshments will be provided. Booking is not required.
