As part of the millennium celebrations, Ticknall residents created a book “Ticknall 2000 – The People Of Our Village”, recording the village, the villagers and their activities. It’s a fascinating read for residents lucky enough to have a copy.
Now, twenty-five years later, we are creating an updated version, “Ticknall 2025”.
A volunteer will be visiting Ticknall residents between April and July, asking if you would like to participate – we understand that not everyone will. The volunteers are Andrea Hancock, Gaynor Ballard, Graham Truscott, Jane Briggs, Jane Brown, Jenny Ellis, Jeremy West and Tanya Card. They’ll be asking some basic questions about your family and your house, and will take a photo. This information will be used to create the new book, Ticknall 2025, which will be available to buy.
