Indoor Bowls Club

The Ticknall Short Mat indoor Bowls Club has now been in operation since 1995 and has been very successful.

The Club meets in the Village Hall each Wednesday from September through to the end of April, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

Indoor Bowls is an easy game to pick up and provides gentle exercise in convivial company, with a break for tea and biscuits at half-time.

When places are available, the Club is anxious to welcome new members. All the equipment is provided – the only thing you require is a pair of flat-soled shoes. Do come along and join us.

Hi, Kings Newton Bowls club are applying for funding to build a new pavilion. The new Pavilion will have short mat bowls and we would be keen to utilise this fully by potentially playing friendly matches with other clubs.

We need help securing funding – we need letters from local groups that express their interest in using our facilities (this wouldn’t be a commitment). Could the Ticknall Bowls club (or any other group that would be interested in using the new facility for meetings, parties or social events) send a short letter expressing interest – let me know if you need any more details. We hope to build the club next October. We need the letters before Christmas if possible. Thanks in advance Steve Raine.
