Numerous paths lead to different areas of the garden, providing varied planting opportunities inc a bog garden, glade, shrubbery, grasses, herb and vegetable garden, rose tunnel, orchard and small woodland.

During the gravel extraction by Anchor Church, the archaeologists made some surprising finds with evidence of activity from Mesolithic times (over 6000 years ago). The dating evidence from the labs is now back and Carina Somerfield–Hill and Kristina Krawiec from the York Archaeological Trust have agreed to come and explain what was found and what it means.
The talk is organised by the Repton Village History Group, but all are very welcome to come along on 18th July at 7.30pm in St Wystans Church – £3.00 entry please payable on the door or by contacting Andy Austen on 07977 440992 .
Ticknall Garden Club has arranged a coach trip to RHS Garden Bridgewater on Saturday August 5th. The coach fare is £25 with free entrance to the Garden as the Club is affiliated to the RHS.
The coach will depart from Ticknall Village Hall at 9 a.m. prompt and return at about 6:30 p.m.
Ticknall Garden Club members and family and friends are invited to join us for the day.

Admission is £8, children are free, the doors open at 10 am and close at 4 pm. There is no need to book in advance although if you wish you can do so by going to the NGS website. The National Gardens Scheme receive all the proceeds from admissions and teas to support their charitable giving to (mainly) Macmillan, Marie Curie, Hospice UK, The Queen’s Nursing Institute, the Carers Trust and Parkinson’s UK.
