This year will be the thirteenth Ticknall Produce Show, and will be held on Saturday, 6th September 2025.
All homes in Ticknall should have received a programme and entry form. (If not, please get in touch with Ros Baker on 07827390406 for a copy.)
Entries are 50p per item (juniors are free); all money collected is to provide for the printing and awards, etc. for the following year.
The Ticknall Produce Show is open to all Ticknall residents and residents’ grandchildren who may not live in the village.
The weather has been challenging this year for fruit and veg, as, though fruit is in abundance, it has been quite early too. So maybe get your creative hats on and have a go at entering a cake or jam! Do a flower arrangement or a garden on a plate!
None of the committee is involved in judging; this is done by independent people who are experts in the field of gardening, cookery or floristry.
There is usually some friendly competition as folks come back to see if they have been victorious.
Entries are received between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. The hall is then closed for judging till 2:00 pm, when it is opened for you to come and see how you have done. Refreshments are available, and awards are made at approximately 3:00 pm.
So, come along and join in the friendly fun and competition, and maybe even win a trophy!!
